To keep their father from power, he must keep his brother close, far closer than he wants. Worse, he has to keep him forever.

Dasan resents needing a mate, yet when given the chance to rescue his estranged little brother from their father’s clutches, he takes it. Freeing Fenorion is worth the risk. Now, he has to figure out how to form not just a mate bond, but a soul bond. A tether to tie them throughout all their lives.

Fenorion has always loved his big brother. Returning to the old ways is a dream come true. Now, he can have the mate he’s always wanted if he can convince his older brother he’s the perfect omega for him.

It doesn’t help that Fenorion is two very different people.

In public, he’s meek. Perfect. A docile yet powerful omega made for an alpha. Alone with Dasan, Fenorion becomes someone else. An equal. A partner Dasan can almost see himself spending all his lives with.

Meek Omega’s Resentful Phoenix Alpha is a brother/brother taboo omegaverse romance featuring a grumpy alpha who lavishes praise on his omega, enjoys being watched, and never hesitates to satisfy him—anywhere, anytime—until he breeds him.

Romance with fantasy and paranormal aspects. Age gap, off page abuse, negative feelings of self worth and body, taboo story with brothers mating.

Fen is a powerful omega who is kept on a short leash by his abusive father. He longs for his home with his mother and brother. With the help of his stepmother, younger brother and some venture (pack) members, he’s able to escape and return to his birth venture. His love for his older brother Dasan has never been innocent. Now he’s given what he’s always wanted when the venture allows them to mate. Dasan wants Fen too but he’s fighting the mate because they’re brothers. As soon as they’re mated he stops fighting and embraces the match. Their father comes to cause trouble but Dasan takes care of it quickly. Their mating goes as they wanted and everything falls into place nicely.

This story is good but short and fast paced. I felt like everything happened to fast. I wanted more time with Dasan and Fen getting to know each other again and easing into their bonding. I also wanted a harsher punishment for their father. He basically got away with his abuse and that’s not okay. The sexy times are hot and plentiful. The mating comes with a nice surprise. I enjoyed the relationship between Dasan and Nolan and then the evolving friendship with Gregory and Fen added in. This is book two but can definitely be read as a standalone and not miss anything. Definitely recommend it for a few hours of fun reading.

The setup with Dasan having to mate with Fen to keep him safe actually made this feel all the more real. It was spicy, melting hot when these two were together and I think that was because they had the family bond and past to trust each other. Given these two have been apart for so long it did not feel taboo for me. They were two men who balanced and needed each other. I am definitely a praise kink fan after this read! This was a novella length read so I would love a follow up story with these two in the future!

Dasan and Fenorion are Phoenix brothers, when Fen was born Dasan made a promise to protect him. With a vicious dad like theirs, he couldn’t fulfill that promise.

Fen was kidnapped by his dad (because Fen is a special omega) and had a horrible life.
Twenty years later, Dasan and his mom finally had the opportunity to take Fen home.
Dasan will have to bond with Fen, so their dad can’t mate Fen.

Dasan is so conflicted, even reluctant, but knows this is the only way to keep Fen safe.
But it’s hard to process, from being his safe place, his protector, to his lover, his mate?

Fen is hurt, knowing Dasan is reluctant. He loved Dasan deeply his whole life.
“How am I going to make him fall in love with me?”

Thank goodness, I knew beforehand this was a comfortable read, so I could sit down without any anxiety and enjoy. Yes, there’s hurt comfort, but overall it’s a lovely, hot, and smexy read!
The plot, the characters, and the environments were attractively executed, I enjoyed it all hugely!

Dasan and Fenorion are brothers. When Fen was born, Dasan promised to protect him, but with a brutal abusive father it became impossible.

Fen was taken because he is an omega and has around twenty years of abuse. When Dasan finally rescue him, there’s only one way to keep Fen safe. Dasan must bond with him so their father can’t claim him.

I loved the pace of this book never a dull moment and makes it easy and exciting to read. I highly recommend this book

Meek Omega’s Resentful Phoenix Alpha is the second book in the Of Blood & Treasure series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the whole series. Meek Omega’s Resentful Phoenix Alpha is a taboo story about Dasan an alpha and Fenorion an omega phoenix shifter brothers. Please read the trigger warnings before starting the story. I really enjoyed this book. I loved watching these two figure out their relationship. I loved the steamy bits. The story pulled me in from the beginning. I felt so bad for Fen and Dasan. I loved the characters and world building that went into this book. I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Fen is a powerful male omega phoenix shifter.
His older brother alpha Dasan felt an immediate connection when he was born and vowed to protect him.
Their father is an evil, manipulative, abusive jerk who kidnapped Fen one night.
This happened after years of body shaming, food restrictions, physical, and mental abuse.
He became jealous of the connection between his sons.
Fen always loved and worshipped his brother, Dasan.
Now, 20 years later, after suffering through horrific trauma, Fen’s father is about to attempt a horrific bond.
Fen escapes with the help of his long suffering step mom and heads home.
Dasan must mate his brother in order to save him and initially he recoil from the thought.
This hurts Fen immensely and Dasan has to literally get over his hangup about it because they’re not human, they’re shifters.
Once Dasan gets his head on right, he takes charge and helps coax Fen out of his forced submissive shell.
The chemistry between them was scorching hot and the way Dasan heaped praise on Fen was so sweet.

I really enjoyed this book. The story starts with Dasan holding his baby brother and promising to protect him. Unfortunately their dad broke the mating bond with their mother and took Fen away. Fast forward 20 years and Dasan is now the alpha of their Phoenix venture. He has never stopped thinking about Fen. With the council telling him he needed to mate and have children, his mom said to get Fen. Fen lead a horrible 20 years with his father but was able to get away when his step-mom’s help. I loved the progression of the story with Dasan finally accepting the mate and would bond with Fen. Cannot wait to read more

This was one of my favorite taboo stories from Jax Stuart. I really liked the way the relationship between the brothers evolved. Fen has a lot of trauma and habits to unpack, and it was nice seeing him get the support and love he deserved. Dasan struggled with accepting his new role in Fen’s life, and I liked that he wasn’t on board 100% from the beginning. There’s a lot of good spice and a bit of drama around their father but overall things are fairly easy between Dasan and Fen. I do think the ending was a bit rushed and wasn’t crazy about how the epilogue really felt more like the next chapter. I kind of wish we got more of an epilogue of these guys once they were more settled into their new family. Up until then, I really enjoyed the whole thing so I gave it five stars but it was kind like a 4.5.

Dasan knows his Omega phoenix brother Fenorion had been taken and abused by their father. As the lead Alpha of his clan, Dasan mates with his brother to keep him safe. It’s no longer a taboo relationship and Dasan realizes he loves Fen as much as Fen loves him. It’s hot and steamy with voyeurism. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.
